What key leadership skills are required of Interim Managers?
This dissertation has identified versatile leadership as the description to what interim management represents as a phenomenon.
It was found that in the case of interim management and in literature, that leadership skills required are in relation to level of responsibility. To capture the meaning of this in an interim management context, the three skill approach by (Katz, 1974) is proposed as model to the key leadership skills required in relation to level of responsibility. The three skill approach is from the outcome of this study suggested to be in conjunction with the seven elements of EI (Higgs and Dulewicz, 2000).
